TROUBLESHOOTING

Troubleshooting is a relatively simple matter when done "Logically", so don't be overwhelmed.

The first step in any troubleshooting procedure is to define the symptoms as closely as possible, detailing all associated components and their related symptoms. Often multiple problems exist at one time, causing symptoms that hide or alter other symptoms. This all may sound confusing, but by following a system of elimination and isolation, the causes can be identified.

The most important thing is to not skip steps, assume results, or take any shortcuts. Follow all steps in the order written and verify all test results are accurate.

A haphazard approach may eventually solve the problem, but it can cause you to waste time and money on unnecessary parts being replaced.
